Apart from the Kai Sai Chau Public Golf Course (tel: 2791 3388) golf is mainly a club sport in Hong Kong which makes it difficult for visitors who do not know a member.
Visitors are only welcome mid-week, and in some cases only certain weekdays.
Green fees range from HK$1,200-1,400.
The Hong Kong Tourist Association (hotline 2508 1234) offers runs Sports & Recreation Tours.
Golf in Macau & China: It is almost easier to play golf in
Macau (some 40 miles away across the Pearl River Estuary), Shenzhen (Hong
Kong's neighbor across the border) or Zhuhai (Macau's neighbor) at times
that in Hong Kong.
And it is not such a bad idea anyway. You get to see more of the world and of course get in a game or two of golf.
